Enough people have asked, that not only has 'Venus' been re-editioned, others similar are being made. 'Hera' the next in the line is also now ready. Stock however will be severely limited,unfortunately. Reason being, they are made by a technique called 'pressure-casting'. Pressure-casting is different from spin-casting, the way most minis are made, yielding only 1-3 castings from an RTV Silicone mould per day. Due to the high volume of urethane resin required to cast just one, (almost 1/2 a gallon for 'Hera' for example) I also anticipate them going 'out of stock' frequently. Unfortunately. But what you have here, is now going beyond just a 'model kit', it becomes a full blown work of art.

Speaking of art, the woman who posed for 'Venus' is a dear friend of mine, I originally met in Art School in SF. Long story short, she had a very unique physique I was very fascinated by. |

This is a bit of an experiment. Depending on how well they are met, more may be created in the future. What I may do, is create a form to request one, if they are out of stock at a given time one is accessing this site. Inevitably, the casting will have to be sourced to another shop later, as I just simple won't have the time. Which unfortunately means a substantial price increase. But for the time being they are being cast in-house, and you can just pester me the old fashioned way, if they happen to temporarily go out-of-stock. I tend to check email quite religiously, im one of those kind of people, so don't think you're putting me on the spot. Art is essentially what I live for... |
